HireArt Employee Spotlight Featuring Lee Pacheco

HireArt Employee Spotlight Featuring Lee Pacheco

With Vanesa Anaya-Aldana, Visual Designer, HireArt

The strategic partnerships team at HireArt is creating an ecosystem where staffing partners of all sizes can access HireArt’s marketplace of open jobs, identify candidates, and submit them. I sat down with Lee Pacheco, Director of Strategic Partnerships, to learn more about his experience, his current role at HireArt, and the main challenges staffing agencies face in the industry.

What do you do as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at HireArt?

I got to create the HireArt Staffing Partner Network (SPN), and now I work daily with my team to optimize and iterate it. We are acutely focused on making the SPN not just a point of power for HireArt’s clients, but a place where staffing agencies can go to build their companies and feel supported and valued. HireArt has a set of Net Promoter Scores (NPS) that are all in the +80s… we can do that for our staffing partners, too!

Let’s circle back about the HireArt Staffing Partner Network (SPN)... Tell me a little about your experiences before joining HireArt and how it has prepared you for your current role here.

I’ve spent time in marketing, sales, HR, and recruiting. I worked in EOR, staffing, and managing all of the processes in between, essentially spending a dozen years learning all the inputs and getting to puzzle them together in this new product.

Okay okay, twist my arm why don’t you? Let’s talk about this new product. When it comes to the HireArt Staffing Partner Network (SPN), what makes it different?

We take on employment. We take on the financial burden. We take on most of the process outside of recruiting. We saw an opportunity to do more, actually fix things, and not just try to make a buck off the work of agencies.

So, with that said, in your opinion, what problems do staffing agencies face in the industry?

Loaded question. All the problems? It’s common for people to say “Staffing agencies are paid a ton!”, but what people don’t realize is that running a staffing agency is actually running an HR compliance company, running a sales organization, being a bank and finding money to float months of payroll…staffing agencies are just “recruiters” but that’s probably the easiest and, at times, the smallest part of their organization.

Alright, now a tough question. What is your most used emoji?

That’s an easy one for me, I live in San Diego and burritos are a way of life 🌯 My second fave is the:radbutsad:, trying to look cool doing things, while living through the pain of building them.

:radbutsad: is a way of life! Now a fun one, outside of work, how do you typically spend your time?

Being outdoors, long walks, going to the beach, hiking, and hanging out at the little league fields with my squad, the “Dugout Dads” (or as my wife calls it “helping with your daughter’s softball team”).

Lee, we could talk for hours, want to start a podcast? Just kidding, or am I? 👀 Thank you so much for your time!
